Rubber Stamp Storage

The proper rubber stamp storage methods are helpful in protecting your stamps so as to increase their longevity and give you the perfect stamp every time.

Some of the most common things that can cause damage to rubber stamps are sunlight, air, heat, and dirt.

Before storing your stamps, be sure and clean them properly with soap and water or one of the many cleaners that can be purchased specifically for rubber stamps.

You will want to keep your rubber stamps in containers that do not allow them to be exposed to dirt and dust.

For unmounted rubber stamps you can use a CD case, plastic folder, plastic Ziploc bag, or other suitable container that allows you to place your stamps lying flat so that the corners will not become bent.

Store the containers in a drawer or on a shelf that is not exposed to sunlight or heat.

For rubber stamp storage of the larger mounted wooden stamps, you can use a small cabinet with shelves, a drawer, or plastic storage container; as long as it is deep enough to accommodate them being placed upright face down as this will help to ensure that the corners do not become bent.

It is important to ensure that the surface is smooth so as not to create any warping of the stamps after prolonged storage.

Organize your stamps into categories like animals, letters, flowers, etc., and place labels on your containers so you will be able to easily recognize what is in them later.
